strong list of guest artists and opportunities for dancers, important work with outreach programs in the community, who are the corporate sponsors?, what is the 2nd Miami Dade grant listed in budget?, working with autistic children do you make accommodations for them in your performances?, evaluation forms well thought out and very useable, letters of support from students and parents are helpful but would also like to see the same from collaborating institutions, similar comment was given last year, videos would be helpful

seems to be the only grant solely devoted to at-risk kids. Goals are good but activities are a bit vague. could use more objectives that have measurements. nice impact, budget looks ok

This is a great program. In general I love the specialization of this organizations mission. The grant and your materials really convey an individual sense of identity lacking in many of the other grants. Best of luck with your upcoming program!

Important Mission Application needs clarity and detail in its narrative. It seems like you are doing great work but there isn't detail-for example what do you do, specifically, in the targeted schools and who does it? I am not clear on the role of conventions Bravo on 90% success rate with students Need much more information on accessibility. It would be helpful to know why there is a rather significant drop in your projections for Corporate income. Great that you could move your studio and have a separate room for homeschool.

Organization Goals should be broader statements that related to the mission. Goals listed are the Objectives. Partnerships -- targeting underserved children at local Miami-Dade public schools: the statement should include something that demonstrates why these schools have underserved children (ie are they Title I schools where 80% qualify for free/reduced lunch?) Timeline -- has no dates. Have any been confirmed? Children with autism/disabilities -- very nice, since this is truly an underserved population. Marketing/Promotion narrative is very vague -- should provide more detail, such as impress #s in various media, more specifics about electronic mailings (# of emails, # on distribution list, etc.), details about community events/fairs. Fiscal Condition narrative -- For an organization that has been providing programs since 2004, the statement should contain more information, such as details about financials. Also, you indicate majority of income comes from registration fees, tuition, workshop fees, yet in 3-Yr Operating Budget, all but $18,000 of each year's income comes from contributed revenue. 3-year Operating Budget -- what is the Revenue: Other of $160,000? Also, previous FY has no surplus/deficit, which is very unusual. Congratulations on grant from The Children's Trust!!

I applaud this organization for being more than just a school asking for money. Your commitment to dance education for all is exemplary. I wish you had included video footage of classes or performances. |
