I appreciate that one of your goals is to preserve oral histories of Palm Harbor residents and to make them available to a larger audience. That is an admirable goal. I also appreciate your traveling outreach programs to assisted living facilities. I believe that the Palm Harbor Historical Society provides significant cultural services to the community. |

Short explanation on what you do with each partner would strengthen the application. More detail about donation acceptance would better explain policies.
Hipschman Dorrie - Score: 85.000
Please explain the sharp reduction in personnel expenses. Even as part-time these salaries are very low... How is the Museum going to be managed and run? All volunteers?

Excellence: Mission is clear and objectives reasonable, including their interest in using their collections more actively to better reach seniors, transferring their collection database to PastPerfect. As for partnerships, it would have been good to know more about the partnerships and collaboration - who is doing what and for what reason. Not sure I understand any of the relationships and how they are increasing visibility for the PHM - although this is flushed out a bit in the Timeline as it relates to advertising programs. Would have been nice to hear a bit more about its collections and storage, with more than just they have one and maintain AAM collections standards. Impact: Minimal Concern about the proposal impact discussion, just would have liked a bit more information. There is no great sense of reporting history or description/impact of the proposals' education and outreach activities. Same lack of information in marketing and promotion. I would have liked to understand more. Management: Very modest budget to address the proposal, but it is a sound budget. Their request is also very modest and will be used to support the efforts of programming in the region. ADA - nothing alarming Overall, the support material flushed out some areas of their proposal, but again the application could have been more thorough, especially for someone not knowledgeable about their organization. |
