Capote Manuel - Score: 91.000

Excellent musical product

Excellent community impact

Excellent cash match to grant funding

Gwinn Elizabeth - Score: 91.000

AFYO has a history of very strong programming and outreach

Excellent partners and variety of ensembles to engage the students.  The STEPS program is a true gift to the community.

The Executive Director is a long-serving and clearly dedicated individual.  I am concerned that it will be hard to maintain this level of dedicated leadership when she retires or is unable to continue her service.  The current salary will not attract an experienced non-profit CEO.

Endowment funds should not be considered "cash on hand."

Lautar Rebecca - Score: 100.000
Entity demonstrates excellence at all levels, most impressive is success of STEPS. Very detailed application that provides assessment of program excellence, impact is demonstrated by long-term, focused educational programs that provide in-depth instruction to a wide array of students, including at-risk populations.
Quinlan Laura - Score: 91.000

nice partnership with nova for space

strong community partnerships

commitment to ada accessibility

Schillhammer David - Score: 92.000

STEPS program is very far reaching and a model for other Youth Orchestras.

Peer mentoring is a great program - hopefully you can expand it to more subjects.  Beneficial to both the younger students and excellent training for the mentors.
