How do you engage the 25.2% of your population that is not White on the board, staff, or in your programming? I would have like to see you use the evaluation plan to discuss how you assess the goals your articulated at the beginning of your proposal. What explains the increase in costs for personnel?

CP has instituted and managed an impressive number of programs in a short lifespan. Particularly interesting and innovative is the blog site it maintains for grantees, which gives the public into the successes and challenges of grant recipients' artistic programming, as well as insight into how public funds are being spent. I also applaud the organization's commitment to incubating new and emerging organizations and artists. CP's application could have devoted more text to the structure and content of its grant programs, as well as how and why some of its programs are being undertaken. I sense that the organization is determined to be less stodgy and more hands-on than most LAA's. Their next application to DCA should demonstrate why interaction and engagement are such important institutional values.

Eligibility question: listed as non-profit and narrative says IRS 501c3 status is pending. Want staff to confirm eligibility. Assuming CP is eligible or this application wouldn't have made it to panel. Thank you for referencing the proposal period in the synopsis. Those looking for a good way to be sure you're teeing up the application for the right period should check out this one! I found the timeline in this application difficult to follow - I had to do a lot of scrolling and got confused. It might help for each subjection to have the months labeled to make it easier to follow. Would like this applicant to speak to their success of increasing county/local government support. I would urge this applicant to create accessibility policies and procedures. |
