As a music educator, I commend this program for reaching out into the community to help school band and orchestra conductors. In addition, this is a great teaching expfor your Fellows. Awesome idea!

Excellence:

• Goal #2: More details regarding "diverse musical traditions" is needed here.
• Goal #3: Free lessons are excellent, but have any aims been developed to also provide instruments?  Simply owning, or having access to, an instrument is a socioeconomic barrier to music participation could greatly expand your reach as an organization to underserved populations.
• Goal #4:Why only classical music?  This doesn't represent a diversity of music and seems constraining when we want to support the arts as a whole. What type of curricular strategies may be included that can exist outside a concert hall as today's performer needs to be able to readily adapt to any clientele. 

Impact:

• Economic impact: These numbers regarding out of town visitors are excellent, but should be expanded.  It would be best if the application could add depth to these numbers such as approximate hotel stays, restaurant partnerships, local dollars spent.
• The rest of this narrative is very detailed and appreciated.

Management:

• Evaluation Plan: There should be a few more facets involved such as patron engagement via interviews or surveys and it would also be good to see trends in ticket sales, particularly with the tiered system mentioned in the Excellence narrative.
• Include reviews and other data of this type in the supplemental materials section.
