Clercx Byron - Score: 97.000

Excellence:

  • Outstanding submission.
  • GACM’s stated goals, and objectives are clear, aligned, and measurable and align with and advance the organizations Mission statement.
  • As reflected in supplemental document #10: Gadsden’s Strategic Plan is aspirational and measurable.
  • The goal to complete all the 2018-19 objectives, while lofty and laudable; the professional staff, long-term objectives, activities, and delegation of tasks reflects a mature organization committed to improvement through assessment.
  • Partnerships are clearly described and fully support the mission
  • GACM’s accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) is a qualitative indicator (becoming the 27th visual arts org in Florida to earn this distinction)
  • Partners and relational context are appropriate and very clearly delineated
  • Evaluation methods are appropriate. Consider adding stretch targets to further benchmarking and data collection for ongoing assessment.

Impact:

  • Thoughtful and detailed institutional plan that blends important qualitative measures (e.g., Gadsden Arts is a source of pride for residents and community leaders…and attractive to new businesses and residents) and quantitative data (e.g., $310K of annual budget reinvested back into the local economy).
  • Consider using American’s for the Arts, AEP5’s economic impact calculator, statistics and/or testimonials to help fortify this spend-local "value-added" creative economy position.

Management:

  • Very confident in organizations financial stability and ability to carry out proposed activities in grant cycle
  • Exemplary reporting history and compliance

Accessibility:

  • Detailed compliance description and philosophy
  • Appears to fully satisfy accessibility criteria (504 Self Eval, compliance staff person, ADA compliant, etc.)
Dodds Jed - Score: 96.000
Excellent overall. Quality programming, and clearly a major asset for its community. Modest budget, too.

Krivinchuk Jeremiah - Score: 94.000
Given the frequency and diversity of programming, would like to see higher impact numbers reflected especially once the Art Zone opens.
Packard Lisa - Score: 100.000

I can find absolutely nothing wrong with this application. It is incredibly thorough and the plans, activities, and ongoing exhibits are all impressive. The impact reaches beyond the Quincy borders. I like that the bulk of their budget and this request is going to programming and technical/production rather than administrative. Their ability to execute and evaluate is more than proven. Excellent application and program.

Excellence: Your staff's credentials, AAM accreditation, museum quality lighting, security, and climate control (only applicant to include this information), extensive partnerships, and letter of support helped communicate the organization's commitment to excellence.

Impact: 7-county impact. Could strengthen by indicating how you reinvest dollars back into the local community.

Management: Fiscal condition very strong. Evaluation plan very extensive. Specify which member and donor trends you are tracking to strengthen. You have a very good sense of who your stakeholders are.

Accessibility: Very thorough. Did want to know how you know that the greatest barrier is lack of experience with art or museums.

Sanfilippo Amanda - Score: 92.000
Looks like this org is doing a lot with their budget. Consider more artist-driven programming
