  • Measurability in this section could be enhanced by defining qualitative measures (beyond surveys, reenrollments, and patron feedback) and/or adding quantitative targets and stretch targets where appropriate.

Impact:

• As noted in the application the acclaimed Hannibal Square Heritage Center which preserves and celebrates Winter Park’s African America heritage also has a significant and lasting impact on residents and visitors who visit the center.
• The economic impact numbers provided are verified and impressive. However, a larger ROI could be attributed to Crealde’ if additional source material was used to reflect its full impact on the local creative economy. While not an exhaustive list, examples include: the American’s for the Arts, Arts & Economic Prosperity 5 report which contains compelling statistical data, testimonials, case studies and an economic prosperity calculator and Creative Placemaking by Markusen and Gadwa.
• Marketing and promotion activities are very appropriate and effective using multiple platforms to reach diverse populations
• Very confident in the value-added impact of the event and in CREALDE’ ability to carry out the proposal and sustain the event after the grant cycle concludes.

Management:

• Very confident in Crealde’s fiscal stability and the ability, drive, and reputation of the organization to carry out the project during the grant cycle and sustain the activities at a high-level after the grant period.

• Appears to meet ADA accessibility criteria (504 Self Eval, compliance staff person, etc.)

Strong articulation of purpose, strengths and challenges, eg. long range plan. Exemplary outreach programs in African American community. Aware of need to address marketing and other weaknesses.

Excellence: Now in it's fifth decade of operation, strong goals, objectives would be strengthen by adding greater specificity (ie. instead of "...as measured by student surveys and re-enrollment" say with students rating their experience as very satisfied at least 75% of the time and a 50% re-enrollment rate). Liked that partnerships were categorized based on which goal they supported.

Impact: Large impact number, very strong economic impact numbers and education and outreach programs.

Management: Strong points include: received Art Works grant, endowment, no deficit since 2002.

Accessibility: ADA compliant, great programs like Inspiration Fine Art Sampler classes for seniors with cognitive impairment and Neighborhood Pride Murals, awards demonstrate commitment to accessibility.
