Timothy A. Barber is the Executive Director of the Black Archives History & Research Foundation of South Florida. He has held numerous positions at the Black Archives, which includes his beginnings as an archivist intern in 2003, promotion to Archivist and Curator in 2006, and his current appointment as Executive Director since 2009.  As Director, Barber has successfully administered a ten million dollar GOB capital grant fund to expand and re-open the Historic Lyric Theater, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. He has also leveraged federal grants from the Institute of Museums and Library Services along with local county grants to create sustainability for the organization’s operations and programming.  Under his leadership, The Black Archives has become one of the leading black cultural institutions in South Florida, through the development of signature arts, culture, and educational programming.

Wolfe, Jenny

Jenny Wolfe is the Historic Preservation Officer for the City of St. Augustine which includes managing the regulatory review processes for cultural resources, forming and implementing policies from the Historic Preservation Master Plan, and managing historic preservation grant projects.  Since 2014, Ms. Wolfe has been a board member to the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation and currently serves as the board’s vice president.  She earned her master’s degree from the University of Florida specializing in historic preservation.

Dr. Brotemarkle is executive director of the Florida Historical Society. FHS operations include the Library of Florida History, the Florida Historical Society Press, the Brevard Museum of History and Natural Science/Florida Historical Society Archaeological Institute, the Historic Rossetter House Museum and Gardens, the Florida Frontiers Festival, and a variety of public history projects and programs throughout the state. He is producer and host of the public radio program "Florida Frontiers: The Weekly Radio Magazine of the Florida Historical Society" and the public television series "Florida Frontiers," and is the author of several books on Florida history and culture.

Dr. Benchley has conducted archaeological investigations in the Midwest and in northwest Florida.  Her research interests include the Colonial development of northwest Florida, cultural ecology and landscapes, settlement-subsistence studies, hunter-gatherer economies, the evolution of complex society, and cultural resource management.  At the University of West Florida, she is Director of the Division of Anthropology and Archaeology, which includes the Department of Anthropology, the Archaeology Institute, the Florida Public Archaeology Network, and the Marine Services Center.

Desiree Estabrook, AICP, CNU-A, is a project manager for NextEra Energy Resources based out of Juno Beach, Florida, and facilitates energy development via coordination with tribes and indigenous groups. Ms. Estabrook has over fifteen years of experience in both the public and private sectors for historic preservation planning and environmental review. Her previous work includes design review for historic districts, drafting local and National Register nominations, and reviewing permit and grant applications. She holds a Master’s degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Georgia, accreditation by the Congress of New Urbanism, and is a certified land use planner.
